Ambergris, do you know what this is....?

The ambergris itself is considered an endangered species, soz. It is considered to be a floating ecosystem, sort of a microcosm of a rain forest, and every time one is destroyed scientists lose valuable information that might have been used for discovering a cure for cancer or some other dealdly malady.
