What exactly is the "Subscriber's Forum"?

Reply Thu 12 Jan, 2006 08:35 pm
I've poked around a bit trying to find out exactly what is offered from the subscriber's forum but I haven't learned anything.

Not even what it costs.

Or what it offers.

Or, really, anything.

What is it?

Hi margo and thanks.

That still doesn't really answer my question, though.

Is it just chat?

I have an impossible time with chat so that certainly wouldn't make it worth my money.

boomer, once you subscribe or rather commit yourself
to sharing the cost of browsing at a2k, the Subscriber Forum
becomes visible.

It's not a chat, just a sub-category where mostly technical
stuff concerning the board is discussed. That's all.

But really, it isn't that expensive -- just more than I'm willing to pay for chat.

Or technical stuff. I wouldn't understand that anyway.

Once in a while I see something pop up and I get curious about what it is and if it is something I might be interested in.

If there IS a secret handshake I want in only on account of that!

Husker, I didn't get anything Sad

boomer, foremost one pays to keep the board alive. That
is, the monetary contribution members give, is probably
not enough to cover all cost.

So in essence, it is a financial support.

there is a chat room, but it's inoperative. it's like a charity, but you can't deduct it from your taxes, as far as i know.

I think you get to view the newly secret Membership List if you are a Subscriber.

The way I look at it, my annual subscription is just about enough to save one hour of Craven's real life salary going to support the board.

Hmmm. Okay.

I'm beginning to get a sense of it.

This morning when A2K would load up for me I was all "What!". I would hate to see it go away. I'm guessing then that subscribing helps to make sure that won't happen?
