Silly things mean so muchÂ…..

We have several calendars around the house, one of them always ends up having kittens on them.

At some point one of us looked at one of the felines and gave it some goofy name. The next month the other one named the next cat. WeÂ’ve gotten to the point where we unofficially take turns, and use a marker to write that cats name of its picture. No peeking to the next month allowed.

Some of the more memorable names have been: Rufus Jay, Amber Waves Jr., lilÂ’ crack whore, a trio named Legolas, Gimli & Aragon, Snuffy the Orphan, and Morpheus.

This morning, I left him a note saying “hey, you haven’t named January’s cat yet”
When I spoke to him later, I remember to ask and he said “oh yeah, I named her Jan”

ItÂ’s nice having these little things.
