This is ridiculous.

Queenie says something on Dec 5 and nobody responds. It is tantamount to blasphemy.

I apologise for my part in that but I plead ignorance.I hadn't seen it.I know it isn't much of an excuse but it's all I've got.If I have to accept a first rate bottom spanking so be it.

Picasso did a really good flower picture when he was still in short pants.

I see that you posted ths in the morning on a MOnday. Often a topic will slide if it doesnt get renewed interest by the author. You should have come in and "bumped" your topic to the top when more of us were on line to see.

Charles Demuth was a famous US artist( watercolorist) who did closeups of flowers. Sorry we missewd you. Was his for a class or a puzzle.?

Georgia O'Keeffe
The following are samples of Georgia O'Keeffe paintings:

Arthur Dove was Georgia O'Keeffe's painting mentor. I can see the relationship between his paintings and those of O'Keeffe:

The Arizona painter, Fritz Scholder, was doing some semi-abstract paintings of flowers that I found interesting.
Here is an example, not the best but still representative of his work:

oh some interesting artists to see - yes I didn't see this thread either and have been so busy lately too.

Another artist who does close ups is a local painter here
