if I open a second browser window, then the site resets "new posts" to the time at which the second window was opened. Basically, I can only browse the site with one window, since I use new posts extensively.
XP home, IE version six, both with latest patches.
It sounds to me like it's just hitting new posts as of whenever you click on the link. Hmm. Are you going to the file dropdown (this is in IE, not A2K) and selecting New > Window ? If so, that should just be a duplicate of whatever you have opened.
