Saw it for the first time last night... absolutely loved it... anyone else seen this?? What did you think?
Ive never even seen the original Dirty Dancing tho I love the 'Time of your life' song from it adn I saw an ad of Patrick Swayze dancing and he looks so cool.
Why dont guys dance like that anymore?!!
I refuse to watch it because it isn't Patrick Swayze or Jennifer Grey. Stubborn me. I can't fathom it is even remotly as good as the original (again, stubborn me!)
Patrick Swayze I thought I saw him in it.... I refused for awhile too.. I thought it would be a rip off of the original.. but nothing was on last night.... and I got so into this movie it was sad...
What was it about? Dancing, I know but what's the story line?
It is based in Cuba.. about what was allowed and what wasn't... about not mixing races.. upper class and lower class type of stuff

If not the movie is a waste.

ok, so I went and bought the dirty dancing havana nights movie... and I have watched it at least 10 times this weekend.. I almost know it word for word, even the parts in spanish... is that bad??
I love this movie... I don't know why... the dancing is just so incredible
Strictly Ballroom is an australian film,I think by Baz Luhrman(of Moulin Rouge fame)
about a dance competition and a girl desperate to be taken seriously as a dancer, lots of crushes, humour, dancing, emotional misunderstandings,ugly duckling to swan etc.
Its really good, a definate must see if you like dance movies.
