Not only is the acorn crop plentiful this year, the acorns are already starting to sprout.

I've seen three woolly bear caterpillars--all with wide black stripes.

The local robins were flocking--and chowing down on my earthworms--in late August.

Ordinarily October 15 is the peak for fall foliage in these parts, but most of the leaves on the trees are still green.

The Farmer's Almanac is predicting a "Polar Coaster Winter".

Eventually Global Warming/Climate Change will precipitate an Ice Age.

Am I alone in my superstitious grumble? Who else wants to borrow trouble and grumble about a wicked white winter?
