JPB, Just read your post, and will need to give it some thought before I commit, because I'll be very active in September when one of your windy city kinsmen visits us in San Francisco, my trip to Austin, and to Vietnam.

Sure does sound tempting tho!

Late August -- the perfect time to visit Chicago. Remember, it's not the heat, it's the humidity and the heat.

I'll embrace a little bit of heat this summer!

Hola folks! It looks like we've got some company coming in mid-August. Right now we're looking at holding dates between Aug 20-24. The in-flow/out-flow of those coming and going may cover that entire range. I hope some of the locals are in town and psyched to meet up with folks from the other side of the pond and perhaps a few from this one as well.

Stay tuned... Izzie has booked flights to the US and plans on arriving here 8/19 leaving 8/24. Additional arrivals/departures are under discussion, but we can surely get downtown for some work-week lunches and weekend fun.

That is awesome, JPB! I would love to join you. I will keep watching this thread. I will try to be flexible with whatever you plan.

Well, we won't be doing a Cubs game - they're in CA all that week.

I will try to make sure I am available for whatever JPB plans. (In the past, I have been limited to lunch meetings in downtown Chicago.)

I might be able to come in for a day. It's a little early to tell, but for a chance to meet Izzie....

Are Wednesdays still your best day for lunch, sublime? She isn't due to get here until sometime Wednesday. Could we beg for a different day that week?

Just caught that, probably not lunch but dinner or drinks later during the week would work. Lotsa trips this year and vacation is already running thin.

I've not been to Chicago yet.

But I've seen The Blues Brothers.
