Hey, the Tower of Boredom in which I'm presently rotting is on the block to the Joker's left!

That answers the question about the job search...

Joefromchicago or Sublime may actually be at the Cubs ballpark right now.

Not today. I'll be there tomorrow. Hope they play better.

Sooooooo....

How 'bout lunch?

Things are beginning to calm down here. It's a great time of year to spend a day in the city and it's been awhile since we all got together.

I know that some folks are traveling and some are moving so let's look at weekdays. How 'bout the first week of September? I should be able to come down Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday of that week.

Thanks, JPB. I will be downtown every day that week (except Monday, Labor Day). Let me know where and when to meet up.

Right now, that week looks good for me. Of course, things may change abruptly, but you can pencil me in for any of those days.

Ok -- I'm going to track Sublime down and see if he's off/interested for Wednesday. Gargamel hasn't checked in yet and without PMs I can't direct him here without pinging him on another thread. I'll wait a bit before doing that and hope he sees this topic pop up.

If Sublime isn't available then we can look at any of the rest of the week and choose based on weather, schedules, etc. Stay tuned.

Sublime is in for next Wednesday, 9/3. He has no computer access (who does he work for again?) and just wants to know the details once they're decided.

Ok -- next Wednesday. 11:45 seems to work well. Place?

The Berghoff has reopened. Just putting that out there. I'm flexible.

Berghoff's on Adams http://chicago.metromix.com/restaurants/austrian/berghoff-loop/146759/content

Heaven on Seven on Wabash http://www.heavenonseven.com/wabash.html is another idea if Adams is too far west for JW...

I know where Berghoff's is and would have no trouble getting there. 11:45 on wednesday is also okay. I have a potential conflict in that I need to be available for my parents. (My father has some medical appointments coming up.)

Berghoff's heh? Sounds like a winner. I still remember our meal and beer there with joe, JPB, and Walter; great ambiance.

is that a thumbs down (no, not that kind) to Berghoff's or are you just grumbling?

A little bit of both. I'd much rather do Heaven on Seven.

JW? Gargamel?

with a single exception of note, joe has been boycotting the big B.

Any objections to Heaven on Seven?

Other ideas are equally welcome.
