Thanks, Soz. I was flipping through a poster magazine and saw a contemporary art piece that looked a lot like it.

When you go back, that celtic cross ... ? Are you able to get a picture of the entire thing?

Wow.

And what an epitaph. I wouldn't mind earning that one.

"He Hath Done Excellent Things"? I had assumed they were talking about god. How funny.

I just did a quick search on the name - he was an innovator in the field of obstetrics.

Harvard U class of 1874:

Charles Montraville Green, c.l.; M.D. 1877; Assoc. Prof. Obstetr and Clin. Gynecol. 1904 - 1907; Prof. Obstetrics 1907 - 1911; Prof Obstetr. and Genecol. 1911.

I ran into this by accident - love the little surprises found in this place.

Shewolf, I'll put you up any time.

JD - it's a dogwood. Can't wait to see it in 2-3 months. The place is full of great trees - truly great trees.

@ossobuco,
I wish I'd gotten to the spot 10 minutes earlier - the sun was setting over the ridge on the other side of the "lake".
