Well, bless my heart. Overslept and missed the morning. It could be worse.

Thanks, ehBeth. When I first saw my name of this post, I thought to myself, "When the hell did I ever post this?" And then I saw the date.

Funny though, when I clicked on the link, it got me to Outlook Express. If I put the url into my address line, I got the song.

take your pick :

Quote:
Morning, Noon and Night in Vienna Overture
Franz von Suppé (1819 -1895)

Franz von Suppé's. father hoped his son would study law, and sent him to Paris for that purpose. But exposure to the artistic climate there merely reinforced his musical interests instead. After his father died, Franz and his mother moved from Dalmatia to Vienna., where he enrolled in the Conservatory. It proved to he a wise choice, for Suppe' fashioned a successful, popular and profitable career.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

we went to a wonderful performance of " a night in vienna" at queen's university last night . three hours of sheer joy !
...wine, women and song ... plus dance , all wrapped together for three hours .
the show was put together by the students at the faculty of music with assistance from the teaching staff .
a fifty member orchestra , dance groups , choir , some great singers - students , teachers and students that "had made it" and came back to perform and say 'thanks' to their teachers .
