Not a biggie. Just letting you know:

A number of email updates don't appear to be working properly. Instead of taking me to the thread I'm getting this message:

Hamster 157890980 reports - The topic or post you requested does not exist or has been moved to a restricted area.

It's happened about five times this morning. To threads that are still operating.

Apart from that, A2K is looking good today! Very Happy

Er - i think the feedback is more useful to the techies if accompanied with more detail!

That happens to me sometimes, too - and not just from emails - but from the "new posts" etc pages.

I will try to get an url next time and bring it here if it helps.

OK, I'll send some then? A whole bunch of them in my "deleted" files.

That happens to me lots of times, and the thread will be just fine, not closed or anything. I just skip over it now when it happens.

Yeah, I generally do that, too, osso. Was just doing a little "information sharing" because it happened on so many links today. Feedback & all that .... Very Happy

Er. I'm not sure this will work (as information, I mean) but here's what I got when I copied one of the non-working links.

Oh well, I tried. Very Happy

The error message you are getting indicates that the post the e-mail was sent about has been pulled/deleted.

Someone may have posted some sort of spam or something else that violated the Site Terms of Servce and as sson as they posted everyone that was subscribed to the thread got the e-mail.

Then a few minutes later someone (with the right abilities here on A2K) removved the offending post.

That makes sense, fishin'.
Except it was up to 8 threads yesterday ... though possibly all threads had been spammed?

Very possible. Spamers often go "on a run" and will follow a specific poster around, post in every single forum, post to the 25 top threads, etc... Anything to attract attention to whatever it is that they are posting.

Stoopid, really, don't you think, fishin'? All they do is make forum folk angry .... hardly a good selling technique! Rolling Eyes
