So im not a big drinker... but when i go out I like to have one or two. But im running out of things to get... my knowledge of mixed drinks is small so I was wondering if you guys could give me some ideas of good mixed drinks...

Now Note: i dont always drink just a couple, sometimes i drink for effect so strong drinks are welcomed along with the sweet drinks...so what do you guys got for me?

Kicky, Slappy... i know you guys got something for me.

Depending on where you go - some bars have a drink menu that shows their specials. I would suggest looking at that as you would be able to select a drink that seems yummy to you. Also, ask the bartender if he has any that is his/her speciality.

Old-fashioned mint juleps can be lethal.

Martinis are very trendy right now. Some bars specialize in them. personally, I think they're dreadful, but don't let that sway you.

Mmmm... I was at a coffee shop the other day that owns a liquor license. They made me an Espresso martini. Absolutely delicious.

I've had a chocolate martini before - great for dessert.

My mom is not a big drinker either. I introduced her to Pims and soda served with a big chunk of orange. It is really light and refreshing but it is gin based so it can pack a punch.

Hello Seed,

What type of liqour are you partial to? That usually has a great deal to do with the type of drink you're going to want to make. Here's one that many of my patrons enjoy:

Key Lime Martini

Ingredients

. 4 ounces Charbay Key Lime Vodka

. 2 ounces Ciroc vodka

. 2 tablespoons of fresh lime juice

. 1 tablespoons of cool whip

. 2 martini glasses rimmed with lime cocktail candy sugar

. 2 super thin slices of lime

The mix

. All of your vodka and 1 tablespoon of cool whip goes into a shaker
that is 3/4 full of cracked ice.

. Shake for a good minute.

. Let your shaker rest for a half minute.

. Add 1 tablespoon of the lime juice to the shaker and give another 10
shakes.

. Strain into your 2 freezing martini glasses.

. Add 1/2 of the remaining lime juice to each glass, and top each with a
bit of the remaining cool whip.

. Float a lime slice on each glass

Believe me - it's delicious!

Now THAT sounds yummy!! And boy, am I parched right now!

Welcome to A2K, cocktailer! You'd better be sticking around for awhile! Smile

The only drawback I have ever had with martini's is, they kick your butt in one big hurry...but wait..is that really a drawback?
