here is a riddle which has really puzzeled me and i need your help to get an answer the riddle is below.
"I live in water if you cut my head i am at your door if you cut my tail i am a fruit if you cut both i am with you.
please mail the answer to me on [email protected].

I thought the answer was a mis-spelling of perch

pe(a)rch - fish
arch - door
pear - fruit

Olive Perchlet???
Olive Perchlet... I am not sure, but then, Olive is a fruit, a Perchlet can be in front of the door and something can perch on me...
Sea / Mine Urchin was another option I thought of, Urchin coming to my door. U remaining if rchin is cut in Sea Urchin and Mine remaining if Urchin is cut in Mine Urchin, but cannot think of any fruit in this... Sad

need to think a bit I suppose. And think right... maybe I've not yet understood the question.

I found the answer. The answer is pearl. Cut off the head (P) leaves Earl. Earl is a man who could be at your door. Cut off the tail (L) leaves Pear. Pear is a fruit. Cut off the head and tail (P/L) leaves Ear. An ear is on your head!

hi i think the answer is PEARL.......it lives in water
pearl-p=earl----one who comes to door
pearl-l=pear.........a fruit
pearl-p&l=ear........ which stays with us.
