Quote:
CANBERRA, AUSTRALIA—Following months of terror at the hands of hot-rod-piloting punks, Australian Prime Minister Kellen O'Neill handed power to Lord Humongous, nominal warlord of the leather-clad marauding barbarian horde Monday. "Just walk away!" said Humongous, the official "Ayatollah of Rock 'n' Roll-ah," speaking through his vehicle's PA system from the smoking ruins of the city center. "I will spare those of you who surrender your possessions and your precious juice. Just walk away, and live." Humongous is expected to share at least a portion of his dominion over Australia with midget genius The Master, who several sources said "runs Bartertown."

Gotta love The Onion - "Remains of Ross Ice Shelf now in Smithsonian freezer."

Does the name Kellen O'Neill have some meaning, or is it random?

So what do they intend to do with it? Set up sex tourism for lonely Welsh farmers, a la Bangkok?

With the changeover in the Senate projected on Friday (to all our American friends we have voluntarily handed control of a landmass the SIZE OF THE UNITED STATES - less Alaska - to a bunch of people who I would not characterise as being fit to run a piss-up in a brewery on the day of the Patron Saint of Piss-ups!!) - who the hell can tell?

If Peter Costello starts to develop an interest in open scrub vehicles, leather and roll'n'rollah - I am heading for the hills!!

Here's the MP for Bennelong, Stillwater the Desecrator, doing a door-to-door visit of his constituency. His slogan, 'A chicken in every pot and a boot to every head' was highly effective.

N.B. A member of that constituency can be seen nailed to the door being dragged behind the lead vehicle.

I always get Mel Gibson and Mel Brooks mixed up . . . which one is the clown? I mean, intentionally . . .

There's been some work on merging the two, precisely to avoid such confusion. The result is very painful for Mr. Gibson, and subsequently also for Mr. Brook, as the former lashes the latter with a scourge.

They often put friends' names in random places -- they recently had some "infographic" with a tombstone that had our friend's name on it (he's known the Onion guys forever, went to high school with a couple of 'em or something.)
