Mrs. Drew and I have agreed on a final list; please help us make our final decision! Comments and constructive criticism would be really helpful.

Sib name: Aurelia Rose

I went with the Elena option because it's similar to my grandmother's name.

First of all, I really like all of them.

Back in a bit after I cogitate.

I like the Elena Gabrielle myself, but then I am a older middle aged woman. The Elena can be hard to pronounce... I think it is with accent on the first E in italian and second e in Spanish, or at least it seems so to me. But... the name flows nicely together, whichever way it's pronounced.

What do you like best yourself and why?

I don't want to tell what our thoughts are, yet. We're really trying to get other folks' impressions. Don't worry about hurting any feelings, though.

(And we don't promise to use the name that wins. I know too well the stuff that passes for humor around here.... Twisted Evil)

I chose Arabella Michelle, because I think a kid should have a name that you(parent) can shout before the kid runs away from ya! Gotta be short and easy to hear.

Try to say or shout any of the names above... You'll see that Michelle goes VERY fast from your lips

Strangely, every name but "Maya" has bad connotations for me. I know a Maya who is the sweetest creature on the face of the earth. I don't think I like the a- I transition, though, doesn't flow as nicely. (Same with Chloe Elena.) Maybe Maya Grace?

In general I've kind of started reacting badly to the wave of sweet flowery old-fashioned names that's been going on the past five years or so -- even though I'm guilty of it, as well. (First name, anyway, I like to think her middle name is kind of spikey.)

Congratulations again!

Personally Chloe and Maya do not sit well with me. Don’t know why, but they certainly do not conjure up an image of a pretty little girl - they conjure up a plain image. But just from my view point. The other names to me seem very pretty, but my preference is Elena. And remember in shouting - you only have to shout the first name so in this case Elena is the quickest.

Arabella Grace

I just like the way it flows.

And it sounds feminine and well, graceful!

Wow .
Congratulations!

I was going to name bean Julianna, then decided on Jillian. If she were a boy, she would have been named Julian, ( see a pattern? Laughing) But, my vote was for Arabella . Unique names allow for a truly unique person.
Congratulations again!!!!!!!

I like Grace. I'm afraid that's the only one I like. I guess I'm fond of short names.

Re: Please help us choose a name
Arabella is too close to Aurelia so I didn't pick that one.

Juliana is a nice name but calling the two girls names out loud - Aurelia, Juliana - both names ending in "a", is a bit of a mouthful.

My favorite names you listed are Gabrielle and Isabelle, although I also like Elena - so I guess that is why I picked Elena Gabrielle, although the Elena also ends in an "a".

Ooo, I didn't think of that....you are right.

My next choice has to be Elena Gabrielle, pronounced L-Leena Gab-ree-l.

I'm a sucker for alliteration - what letter does your last name start with?

(and I liked it pronounced Eh' len ah Gah bri el' lay, the 'eh' sounding like 'a' as in cake...)
