Great Ironies

Some of the world's greatest ironies, an interest of mine.

People who hit you might actually like you. That's an elementary thing that we sometimes take to adulthood where it takes on other forms.

The whipped puppy syndrome is the one where people who get mistreated will gain some sense of loyalty to their oppressor.

Suicidal people don't actually want to die.

The person who lays the blame first is the one who did the deed.

People start wars to make peace.

Any others?

agree
"Suicidal people don't actually want to die."

I agree with this one, but would restrict it to 'some people'.

Others don't want to live the lives they are leading and prefer the unknown of death.
'Not wanting to live' is different from 'wanting to die', but many people can't see the difference!

Suicidal people who want to die . . . succeed . . . his point is well taken, most of those who are "suicidal" are actually desparate, and could be brought round . . .

It's good to see you here again, MA . . .
