i have a monster that lives in my basement, and we use a primitve code to communicate. For example, if it says the numbers "16", i know it wants a vegetable to eat. If it says the number "10", i know it wants to eat a bird, and a grunt of "2" means it fancies a nice juicy insect. "20" means it's thirsty.
What should i do if, one day, it says "21!"?
This is one weird riddle and I have no idea of the answer but I'm going to hang around to see if anyone else knows.
I tried numeric weights on each of the letters and some mathematical operations but so far I've had no luck with scrabble or simple A-1, B-2 substitution.
Pay it 1.5 times its bet unless you also have 21.
You should run away since it wants to eat YOU.

Yea that's the 21st letter but it doesn't follow the other things he wants to eat in coordination with numbers.

#2 is insect, second letter is b answer bee
#10 is bird, tenth letter is j, answer jay
#16 is vegetable, sixteenth letter is p, answer pea
#20 is a drink, twentith letter is t, answer tea
#21 is?, twenty-first letter is u, answer you

It goes by the sound of the letter - not by first letter of the word.
Maybe it wants to eat a sheep?
I think it wouldnt want to undress because the pattern is it wants to EAT something, and I think you have to start with the letter so it would have to say 25 if it wants to eat you (you starts with a y). Possibly it wants to eat a uovo (egg in italian) or unagi (type of sushi).
