If Jesus died to forgive us, then why is there a Hell?

It doesnt make sense. Jesus dies so that "all" of us can be saved, yet we still need a place for the un-saved people...Explain.

I think that I am going to have a bumper sticker made up:

"Never attempt to explain by logic and reason, something that is neither logical nor reasonable".

because some people, like liberal democrats, filthy queers, and anti war hippies won't accept Jesus as their personal savior.

I've highletd the important word in your question. Just because everyone CAN be, doesn't mean they will be since we have free will.

Actually, I think God was just really sickened by all the dead lambs and goats that kept being laid at his doorstep by people that would knock and run.

So does that mean that my cat worships me because he leaves mice at my doorstep ?

Interesting perspective.

Absolutely. To your pet, YOU are God.

then why does my dog occasionally poop on the altar at my church? That's no way to treat someone you worship. Rolling Eyes

Maybe because in the dog's mind, he is giving something of himself!

To a dog, poop is currency.
It's a tithe of sorts.

He only died for people who believe the rest of us are going to hell. Or so I have been informed. Razz

Dude, you try coming up with an explanation for why your supposedly omnipotent messiah got killed so easily on the spot with bunches of followers anxiously awaiting for you to make it all make sense for them.

Under those circumstances the guy was lucky to think of saying "uh, yeah. He died for us, it was deliberate".

What make you so certain there's a hell?

If god is a god of perfect love then hell would not exist.

Only hate creates hell. Hate is the domain of humans.

When humans can't express their hate in the manner they desire they give that task to their gods.

Then, with their incredible imagination, humans tell all the horrible things their gods will do to those who will not believe as they do.

God cares not what we believe. If god did then why has he provided souls to all manners of faith and non-belief?

There's nothing about religion that makes sense. It's all completely illogical. I guess that's why they try to push the faith justification.

Other illogical things:
Love, Hope, Heroism and Children.

What a blighted world it would be if everything had to be logical.
