Migod - they finally caught him. As slippery as Bin Laden and as dangerous as any WMD in the hands of state sponsors of terror. His reign has ended in ingnominity and self-loathing.

The Cookie Monster has eaten his last fat-laden, high sugar, white flour laden treat!!

Cookie Monster is famous for scarfing down cookies by the plateful. He is so enamoured of cookies that he has been known to burst into song, chanting in his throaty voice, "'C' is for cookie, that's good enough for me."

Now that Sesame Street is in its 36th season, which kicked off this week, he will be singing a different tune - called Cookies Are a Sometimes Food.

New characters will be featured, including talking eggplants and carrots. The segment American Fruit Stand will parody American Bandstand

My banana is most annoyed at this news, as it implies that eggplants and carrots are more intelligent, because they can talk.

A clear case of discrimination !

Oh, maaaan.

That's dumb.

I mean childhood obesity epidemic etc. yes I know that's awful.

But Cookie Monster?!

Remember when they phased out "One of these things is not like the others, one of these things is not quite the same" because it was like um exclusionary or something?

Hmph.

It also implies that the Cookie Monster might eat eggplant!! Somehow I don't think that's a possibility - you might get the Monster out of the Cookie-jar, but you'll never get the cookie out of the Monster!

I anticipate a hitherto unknown food allergy. Carrots will kill Cookie Monster in less than a week....

If the carrots don't get him, the ratings will....

What fun is a Cookie Monster without any cookies?
