I don't understand why it got such bad reviews?

I find Billy Bob extremely talented. Notice that he's one of those actors who looks different in each role: there are times when I just don't recognize him.

I wouldn't go so far as to not being able to recognize him but he does manage to supplant his own persona and bring the character he is playing to life. He was very funny in "Intolerable Cruelty" as the fake husband.

Billy Bob was heavier when we first saw him. Many people don't realize that the loudmouth card dealer who gets beaten down by Wyatt Earp early on in 'Tombstone' with Kurt Russell and Val Kilmer is Billy Bob Thornton.

Lightwizard -- I think many actors enjoy working with the Coens. they certainly bring out the best in their casts.

DAMN!..I've seen "Tombstone" 3 or or 4 times and never noticed that. Oh well another reason to watch it again. :wink:
