I want to start an adult film production company. Someone told me that some sort of fair media act was passed in 1999 that makes it illegal to produce adult films in this country, unless it is offshore. Is there any truth to that? I'm in USA. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
i doubt that.. arn't most american porn made in... San Fernando Valley of California? I believe that is where most are directed and shot, eventhough actual product is produced in other parts of U.S.
Illegal to produce porn in the US? Hardly likely. To be safe, however, you should talk to an attorney. And since you are planning to start a company, jay, you should be consulting with an attorney anyway.
