Last night I read John Scalzi's Old Man's War"
Scalzi postulates that Senior Citizens become eligible for a completely new body when they reach 75--providing that they join the Colonial Defense Forces, the military body that defends human colonies against space aliens. The catch--a member of the CDF can never return to Earth.
Would you accept such a bargain?
A new body, and a chance to defend the species? What's the catch?
