What word is missing from this sequence, and why?
FREEDOM, LIBERTY BELL, ________, AURORA, SIGMA, FAITH
The Mercury spacecrafts were nicknamed Freedom 7, Liberty Bell 7, Friendship 7, Aurora 7, Sigma 7, and Faith 7.
Very good! Can you also name the astronauts that flew in each? Which of the original 7 astronauts was the last to make his first trip into space, and on what mission? Which was the only one to fly in each of the Mercury, Gemini, Apollo and Space Shuttle programs? Which gave up exploring space for exploring undersea?
