My little girl has become a teenager - time passes by way too soon.

The reason she had two escorts...one of the other sr girls was off playing in a tennis tourney...the month delay really messed things up...they had to move everything up to the next home game, which was last night, and since SAT's were this morning, they didn't want to have the dance after the game. It was tonight...and I don't think anyone went.

Normally, they have a nice four level platform...one for each grade....with big wicker chairs for the girls to set in and watch the game from the 50 yr line....a queens court sort of thing. But this year it was so chilly and windy, and they waited until the last minute to even decide what to do...so we just stood on the track and it was short and sweet, and over long before people started showing up.

Both car dealers in town folded/sold out this year, so there were no convertables for the girls to ride in during the parade, so they rode in golf carts, which was better than riding on a tractor...but it made for a very short parade. So she kinda got robbed...as far as the glitz and glory stuff goes...but she doesn't really care for that type of thing anyway.

She is very proud to have won, and of course we are very proud of her, and I guess that's all that really matters....thank you guys for the nice comments.

I can't think of anything better than the homecoming queen riding a tractor.

Whoa nelly. So grown-up. I agree with Osso, that's a good face. Love the haircut.

Thanx - yes, it's been a while since we started this thread, and have seen
our kids in various stages and ages. It's nice though, isn't it?

She has broken a few hearts already, Izzie. Very Happy

Oh look at that little girl who all of a sudden looks so grown up. With make-up
you can tell that she's her mother's daughter.

I was Annie's running buddy this morning for a 5K run. Annie trains with an organization for elementary school girls called "Girls On The Run". Today's run was at the stadium for Chicago's professional soccer team, The Chicago Fire.

Very nice picture, wandel. I like Annie's choice of colors. Tell her those are
my favorite colors. Were you able to keep up with the "girls on the run"?

Funny you should ask, CJane. I asked Annie not to do any sprinting so that I could keep up with her. However, Annie's girlfriend noticed that their school principal with her daughter were up ahead. They sprinted to catch up with their principal and I was left in the dust. Annie finished thirty seconds ahead of me.
