Good morning to cav and buttercup and Austin from the East York pack.

Get better soon cav - Austin needs you to take him for a walk! (Bailey and Cleo made me type that.)

I'm checking in and sending positive thoughts, also.

I know the saying is that if you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen. In your case, cav, it is time to get back into the kitchen.

My computer's been down since Friday night, so I just this minute heard...

This is awful. I hope you're hanging in there, Buttercup. Please know that we are all pulling for Cav and for you, and we love you. Update us whenever you think best. Until then, you have our prayers and sincere wishes for Cav's quick recovery.

((((HUGS TO BOTH))))

Buttercup, if Cav is aware of all this love and concern coming to him and to you, I hope he can visualize it as a healing force, as a strengthening of his immune system. So that our expressions can effectively serve his needs as well as ours.

Bad news
Dear Everyone,

Please forgive me if the words don't sound right right now.

At 12:15 PM today, our dear Cav, who fought the good fight, left us. He was comfortable and not in pain. Nothing was working anymore, and any other attempts would have been futile and just prolonging his agony.

Thank you for all of your thoughts, prayers, and warm wishes. Cav knew he had lots of friends out there on these boards, and he knew how you all felt about him. He is in a better place now, where he can be happy and free of all of the illnesses and demons that plagued him.

ehBeth and BoGoWo, the arrangements will be announced in the paper tomorrow, but I can tell you that the funeral will probably be on Tuesday afternoon.

We are asking that, if you would like to pay tribute to Cav, in lieu of flowers, etc., please make a donation to your local Diabetes Association and/or Liver Foundation.

I miss him so much. But he will always be in my heart, and is forever a part of my life. I want to thank Cav for allowing me to be a part of his life, especially through the thick and thin. He was a good man, a good soul, and he was my best friend.

Thank you everyone.

forever Mrs. Cavfancier

I have no words, just disbelief. He was so special.
Now our thoughts and wishes go to you, Naomi. I've lost a spouse to cancer and have an approximate sense of what you'll go through. I Know you'll be fine.

Devastated.

We loved Paul too, Buttercup.

This poem has given me comfort at times of grief. I hope it gives you some now:

Do not stand at my grave and weep,
I am not there, I do not sleep.

I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glint on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.

When you wake in the morning hush,
I am the swift, uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circling flight.
I am the soft starlight at night.

Do not stand at my grave and weep.
I am not there, I do not sleep.
Do not stand at my grave and cry.
I am not there, I did not die.
