I notice that this forum has not been used for a while but I'll give it a go posting in here.

I'm currently a Senior IT Service Desk Analyst and have 2½ years experience and am looking to move into Database Administration. I have some SQL experience from writing PHP and MySQL applications.

I've found a good Computer Based Training MCDBA course and am considering starting it. Before I shell out £1,000 for this I am looking for advice as to whether the MCDBA 2003 acreditation is worth the time and effort put in to get it?

Any comments / suggestions would be appreciated.

Cheers

I hope you get this reply, though!

I wont go into it now, but since you been working in a field that I was considering going into, could you tell me if you are aware of a field that I could go into freelance or work at home through my connection?
