@hingehead,
I wouldn't normally say anything, but the Oz thread is one of my favourite reads and it is uaually so positive and funny that to see a zero sticks out like a sore thumb. To see a line of them clearly shows that a moron somewhere has stopped playing with himself for a few seconds.

He'd been following me around for a few posts before I came here, but like you, I have the idiot on ignore and only know he's present because I see his name appear when my logged in status switches off.

Anyhoo, back to the positive stuff.......

My lad is coming back for a six week holiday in August/September. The weather in Sydney is now getting quite cold, he tells me, and is looking forward to a little bit of summer again.

I bet he finds our summer not much better than your winter!

Still, it will be good to get him down the pub again.

And to have a fridge that magically empties.

A bit delicate arent we ? We dont want to read anything that might trouble us...its smooth sailing all the way into senility and the old folk's home .

The indiscriminate thumbing down amuses me immensely
I am sure your over reaction is amusing the perp, especially how you mark the club members back up again . For clowns who don't believe in thumbing your buttons are fairly well pushed . Laughing

Laughing Hilarious ! You little Sherlock Holmes you ! Your lack of intelligence is clearly up to the task, according to you . Where does my name appear ? In flashing 180 pt red font in the middle of the screen ?

@Lordyaswas,
One of the many weirdities of my life was arriving in london for a 3 night stay at the shoreditch in late june 2012. The temp hit 22c and every bastard was around the rooftop pool. Literally standing room only and there was this incredible buzz. Almost a desperation to celebrate the 'good' weather.

@hingehead,
That must have been June 22nd or June 23rd.

We had sun nearly all day, for two days running.

Duh! Of course we were celebrating. The last time that happened was during the war, I am told.

They didn't state which war, but it was definitely during A war.

@Lordyaswas,
The highest temperature ever recorded in England is 37.4 C. Last summer we had weeks where it didn't go below that.

He's well advised to skip August if he can - it's our least pleasant month! Cold and often windy.
September is good, though. A wonderful month in Sydney. He appears to have settled well!

Ooh!

It's the first day of the ASHES today, at Cardiff. They should have just stopped for lunch.

Let's see how they're getting on, shall we?

<clicks onto Telegraph Sports page.....>

Erm........

Lovely weather we're having over here at the moment.

Ooh, Wimbledon's on telly.

@Lordyaswas,
Well, England made a bit of a comeback. Early days though!

The combination of cricket and tennis means not much sleep for me for a while.

Lovely singers, the Welsh!

@margo,
Yes, my Grandad was Welsh and we couldn't shut the bugger up at Christmas.

I'm a quarter Welsh, and can consequently sing every fourth word in perfect tune. The rest is total shite, but hey ho.

Yakky Dar and all that.

@Lordyaswas,
My Welsh friend is going to the cricket tomorrow (or today, our time). He can't decide what to wear. He can't cope with those bloody English lions, doesn't think the gold shirt I offered him will do, so he's down to the blue and yellow of Glamorgan. Probably settle on the red Welsh rugby shirt!
