@Thomas,

When Spendy talks about pants (as opposed to talking pants, which is his default setting) he's not talking about your strides.

@Joe Nation,
Thank you so much for your kind offer! I'm still in Germany -- will be returning on the 9th. Are you free on the 10th?

@ehBeth,
Im travelling up there a few times in Aug and Sept. Ive only had to stay over 2times, all other times I could take the Accela train which is supwer fast and comfy.

Two weeks ago I stayed over at the Plaza on Broadway and was creeped out with all the bedbug stories .

I saw that on CBS News fm. I was horrified. Infestations of bed bugs all over the north east. They had a map showing the bugs spreading and a video of somebody lifting up a mattress and hundreds of the perfectly evolved little loves running in every direction to escape the light of exposure. And breeding faster than you can say we are.

Perhaps a wet suit is what you need to take on your trips and keeping your boots on in bed.

@ehBeth,
Good to see this thread again, one of my all time favorites.

(Closes eyes and ears, I'd be totally devastated to have bedbugs in my place, farmerman. I've enough trouble with crickets).

Beth, she seems quite the character.

@ehBeth,
Holy moley...seems like a sci-fi contact with the past here, Beth.

I haven't had time to work through the thread, but I get the impression there are pix in here that would interest me.

As for hats (see the first few pages)...I remember well that marshmallow identifier you were wearing the first time I saw you...from several blocks away!

@tsarstepan,
Tsar,

I know how Momo is pronounced. He was a major character in the movie, Get Shorty.

But I sure would love to know how fukustore" trips off the lips!

@Frank Apisa,
I presume (don't know) it's fookoo. People I've known with Fu in their names sounded it as foo, more or less.

@ehBeth,
Before Tsar beats me to it - here's a new article about the best bagels in NYC.

I still haven't made my own, lazy bum that I am.

One photo to make you click on the the link -
