But you do realize (I hope) that the Oz anger was as much directed at our own, home-grown, ultra-conservative government. Which was in kahoots with yours. And now they're both history. Poof! Just like that!!! Gone.

True.
But fat chance of a real alternative after Howard. Trouble is (speaking of Oz) we moved so far right under you-know-who. We have simply gone from ultra-conservative to further right of centre than I'd prefer. A way to go yet before we regain so much lost ground.

yes...there was a lot of aussie anger around a2k directed at the US AND Australia...it prompted me to stop posting on this thread...I just got tired of the bashing even tho it was justified...can we move on?...lol

Sure thing, panz. Let's move on from those darkest of dark days. I wish they'd never happened. Horrible, horrible!

Mind you, should any contentious issue (from either country) arise in the near future & there's brilliant cartoon commentary ......
