..... Mark Latham bowed to overwhelming party pressure to quit yesterday.
Mr Latham, emerging from hiding after a concerted campaign by Labor premiers to end the federal leadership crisis, surprised colleagues by announcing he would also leave Parliament to "look after my health and pursue a normal life" outside politics.
What if they gave the proceeds to the tsunami victims? Now THERE'S a good idea!
