Well, I guess there goes his funniness. Ever notice how comedians become unfunny when they get sober? Look what happened to Spike Jones (the old one, not the new one).

I don't think so in his case...he is driven by angst...

I didn't read the article Bear posted, so I don't know if it mentioned this, but I'm pretty sure he went into rehab in the 80s for a coke addiction, and that didn't change how funny he was. Actually in the 80s, I don't remember him being that funny, but in the 90s, he was back! He'll be the same guy he was, I'm sure.

EDIT: Okay, I just read the article, and now I'm not sure about my fact about his going into rehab in the 80s. I think he just kicked it on his own.
