How do domestic thermostat controlled central heating radiator vales work I can’t seem to find a website that explains how they work or one with diagram drawings on them

Would it be any different than any other thermostat? A bimetallic coil is traditional, the two metal strips being fastened together have different rates of expansion, so they coil and uncoil with temperature changes. Sometimes they're jus a flat strip that curves and uncurves with changes.
