Tonight's menu:

Amuse bouche of eggplant caviar on cucumber with flaxseed flatbread

Asparagus consomme with asparagus tips and shiitake mushrooms

Pan-seared duck breast with caramelized onion-double smoked bacon Yukon Gold mashed potatoes, seasonal vegetables, blackberry jus

Winter greens with red wine vinaigrette

White chocolate risotto with dark chocolate shavings

farmerman- Thanks for the recipe. Next time I will make it 1/2 recipe, with less sugar.

nut roll recipe...
farmerman, I'd love to have that nut roll recipe! I'm particularly interested in old family recipes....I believe they should be shared and carried on, even if the origination of the recipe didn't come from your own family! What a waste it is when people no longer can have some wonderful tasting dish, all because it was a secret recipe that wasn't shared with others!!
