I've been invited to share some of my music here. So let's start off with this, which some of you may know from an earlier recording. A song about my grandfather. Enjoy. http://bertleesitesandsounds.com/newMusicForWeb/cowboyFromBoston.html

@Letty,
I just joined. Some folks here know me. I'm not entirely sure I know how to post music links. Here's a link to an original tune on my website. Can I make a post of it, or does it have to be in the form of a reply. Perhaps I'm just not getting the interface right. Anyway, Northbound Train © 2012, Bert Lee

It's May 13th here, y'all and this is just a test. This radio seems all cleaned up now, so let's see if Bill Joel works:

Letty, love "My Life"
One of my favorite Billy Joel lines:
"I don't need you to worry for me
'Cause I'm all right."

Some things never change, not just politicians either, there's a few on A2K like this.

Quote:
Privilege.

What Privilege is or is not no one cares,
The casuists all by Party zeal are led.
But oh! their dreary bout of splitting hairs,
Gives me a splitting head!

@tsarstepan,
tsar, Loved that version of Kissing a Fool by George.

as Bert Lee knows, I love his Cowboy from Boston in a minor key with different lyrics.

Played Bonapart by ABBA on the part III radio, so let's listen to dear Glenn and Hank do another version.

First, Glenn:

Dear Hank. I had no idea that he did it as well.

@Fil Albuquerque,
Fil, Tell It To My Heart by Taylor was great. Always good to see you with us again, buddy.

I never see Gurda's name that I don't remember my German friends who camped with us on the ocean.

Miss you Willie Poff and Wilfred Gras.

Inspired by Region's spoonerisms:

Linda sings this lovely song.

Although by 1887 strict Medieval tithing had long gone, the Church of England was (and still is) a major landowner.
Quote:

Very "Extraordinary Tithes."
A Contemporary records a not clearly intelligible case of

" Seizure for Tithes.—Three ricks of hay at Shinield, Berks, belong-
ing to the Rev. Bernard Body, clergyman of the Church of England, were
distrained upon yesterday by the Dean and Chapter of Hereford, for £50,
tithes and expenses."

According to a popular Scottish proverb, " hawks winna' pick oot
hawks' een." This adage is evidently at fault if there is no mistake
in the statement that a Dean and Chapter of the Established Church
distrained for tithes upon produce belonging to a clergyman of their
own cloth. And the matter is less excusable as it cannot be said
that it hurts no Body.
