Wow! Our Region is on a roll. Wish I could acknowledge each one, Mr. Boston, but I can't. Do love The Who.

Saying goodnight with two golden oldies.

@McTag,
Welcome back, McTag. Bits and Pieces was great. I am given to understand by my late husband, that a slide trombone is quite difficult to play and maintain proper intonation. I know that YOU did a great job with it Scotland.

I first learned of Al Jolson when my older sister took me to see Larry Parks doing Jolson sings again. Another one destroyed by Eugene McCarthy.

Awakened this morning thinking of Otis Redding.

and, y'all, our poem for today:

My Star
By Robert Browning
All that I know
Of a certain star,
Is, it can throw
(Like the angled spar)
Now a dart of red,
Now a dart of blue,
Till my friends have said
They would fain see, too,
My star that dartles the red and the blue!

Then it stops like a bird; like a flower, hangs furled:
They must solace themselves with the Saturn above it.
What matter to me if their star is a world?
Mine has opened its soul to me; therefore I love it.

I think it is. Time for a bit of politics. Enough is enough, free the Indianapolis 500, and the Pennsylvania 65000.

@izzythepush,
Welcome back, Izz with a y. Your Glenn wouldn't play here, so I will do this one.

Here he is in Japan.

Once again, calling all music lovers, musicians, painters and friends. Razz

I was thinking of Oscar Wilde today. There are different interpretation of why he was put in jail, so I won't go into that.

My favorite story of his painting:

To me, Dorian Gray simply meant this:

The Picture of Dorian Gray

The picture of Dorian Gray, “the most magical of mirrors,” shows Dorian the physical burdens of age and sin from which he has been spared. For a time, Dorian sets his conscience aside and lives his life according to a single goal: achieving pleasure. His painted image, however, asserts itself as his conscience and hounds him with the knowledge of his crimes: there he sees the cruelty he showed to Sibyl Vane and the blood he spilled killing Basil Hallward.

Hurry back, Tsar, I know Ike and Tina Turner did that one as well. When I did Robert Browning I thought of this one by Perry Como:

@tsarstepan,
Hilarious, tsar. What a funny one based on The Barber of Seville. Bugs did a great job.

Somehow, it reminded me of the classic.
