Letty--

You sound like a Woman Who Has Had A Day. Old age isn't for sissies.

Hold your dominion.

Can you believe that some pompous jerk is trying to capitalize his name? He's probably glad he was weaned at an early age.

Even worse than putting old EE in Caps is the occasional would be poet who insists on signing his work in lower case because

he'
s a re
al poet, too.

Noddy, you clever thing. I love it!

Ahem. Now back to Wilder (than a march hare)

I truly believe that there is a wee small voice of calm that silently tells us about the biorhythms and the natural givens. Bierce knew it, and that's what made him a rebel.

You say"Life sucks". No, you are wrong.
A great portuguese poet, days before he commited suicide, wrote his last poem. The title? "I say goodbye to the land of joy!"

Hey, Val. I was just making a weak attempt at humor. Sort of a sordid play on words. Life is a miracle even at its worst.

The world is too much with us; late and soon,

The world is too much with us, late and soon,
Getting and spending, we lay waste our powers;
Little we see in Nature that is ours;
We have given our hearts away, a sordid boon!
This Sea that bares her bosom to the moon,
The winds that will be howling at all hours,
And are up-gathered now like sleeping flowers,
For this, for everything, we are out of tune;
It moves us not. -Great God! I'd rather be
A Pagan suckled in a creed outworn;
So might I, standing on this pleasant lea,
Have glimpses that would make me less forlorn;
Have sight of Proteus rising from the sea;
Or hear old Triton blow his wreathed horn.

For Thanksgiving I'm running away from home and leaving Mr. Noddy to be thankful with his side of the family.

I don't expect to see Proteus or hear old Triton, but NYC has other charms.

Noddy, You have a wonderful time.

You deserve a break today.
So get out and get away
To Big Apple. Smile

Cripes, spendius.

Every time I see your name,
I think I'll go and do the same.

Spend--spend--spend.

Family gatherings are usually fun--particularly when the family is one's own. Happy Turkey & Trimmings.
