@ossobucotemp,
Sure it's a tech thing, but when a thread needs a bump, if the hidden post is by one of My Friends, and you click on My Friends, the post is there to read, plain as day. If that function included everyone there would be no need for bumps.

@edgarblythe,
I simply do not understand.
I have never posted on my friends, having never clicked on it, so I'm ignorant on that.

@ossobucotemp,
I guess the only way to understand it is to practice with it. A long time ago I "friended" the more interesting posters, so, when I click "My Friends" I see in descending order all the posts made by these people, without going to individual threads.

@edgarblythe,
That's useful, I gather. Last and maybe only time I looked at Friends, I had many. That compilation is likely to have recent losses.

I had no idea that is related to these performance issues, assuming you are spot on.

I keep forgetting to use the glucosamine/chondroitin tablets. For three weeks I have only used them a couple of times. Now my knee has become sore, making it painful when I stand up. I put them out on the counter, in plain sight and that is where they will remain stored. They are not helpful to us all, but they are good for me.

I don't think it's avoidable. Every novel ever written ends up being that way.

@cicerone imposter,
When I say I forgot those tablets all those days, I also meant three other bottles of stuff I take. This morning I put them in a bowl and set the bowl in plain view. Now I will only forget them half of the time instead of daily.
