Table has original finish and the finish is not in good condition. Dirty unsafe water dripped from ceiling onto table. Wiped up water before it soaked into wood but we are looking for something to disinfect table without doing more harm to finish or wood surface.

@Larhelmurray,
What do you mean by "disinfect" a wooden table? You can sand the entire finish or used a wood cleaner from your local hardware.

@Larhelmurray,
To finish wooden surfaces, the best hack is to use white vinegar. Take some warm water and pour a few spoons of white vinegar (acc. to the surface) in it. Soaked the clean cloth properly and clean the surface. Hope you find this hack useful.
