I read that Donald J. Trump received a $1 million gift from his father about the time he graduated college.

I read that Mr. Trump's present net worth could be anywhere from a few hundred million dollars to a few billion dollars (or to the $10 billion he claims).

Even if it is "only" a few hundred million dollars at what rate of return and through what devices and otherwise did he get from $1 million to a few hundred million dollars?

Trump's wealth has been studied by the best economists, and they determined that he would be much richer if he had just invested in index funds rather than property.
$1 million in 1970 would be worth over $6 million today.

I have no idea for sure. I am sure it had something to do with buying and selling stuff, investments, business deals, etc.

But, I doubt you can get any liberal here to actually come to terms with the fact that trump has been successful in anything.

I'm not a liberal. I'm a fiscal conservative. I don't believe in big government. Your view of Trump's success is tainted. He inherited his money from daddy. If he had invested what he received from daddy in index funds (stock market), he would be much richer today.

You keep saying that and I wonder if anyone really cares? I know you believe that sitting around doing nothing is fine, but not Trump. He's a mover and a shaker and wants to participate in his fortune and his life.

Lots of people inherit money, but none of them are Trump.
