I would like to kindly ask you if these sentences are semantically correct.

"The 'horseshoe' arrangement means that the classroom becomes a more intimate place. This gives students more potential for sharing feelings, ideas and information - all so essential for classroom discussions."

@dalehileman,
What about this:

"The 'horseshoe' arrangement means that the classroom becomes a more intimate place. This gives students more potential for sharing feelings, ideas and information. It is all so essential for classroom discussion."

I am not sure what "all" refers to.

@dalehileman,
Dalehileman, could you tell me what kind of article should I used in the following examaple?

The/A seating arrangement depends upon the activity involved.

Personally, I would choose "the".

@Nat093,
"The" is more specific, the implication being a particular arrangement for a predetermined meting; whereas "A" is more general, implying almost any arrangement anywhere at any time
