Good idea to hang out amongst High tech men - but to find a boyfriend there she should learn a lot and even more about High tech. Without knowledge and just looking stupid when they talk wont help her.
Ne interested in people and their interests.

Go to a place where there are people of similar interests, be it church, a poetry reading, the dog run at the park or some other spot.

Start going out for coffee with your girlfriends. Frequent the same places at the same times and days, and the boys will come to you.

We have a high-tech company next to us. Almost all men - but they are the nerdiest, most unkempt and ill-mannered louts. They'll knock you over to get into the lift in front of you; use the ladies room because they're too lazy to take the extra 5 steps to the mens.

There would appear to be little to recommend them.
