I would do absolutely nothing.
You cannot judge people for what they did not know about things which were not common knowledge or even known or invented at the time and place they lived.
That counts also for any book written at any time since people learned to write.
The same for any story told.

I'd ask god to forgive himself and if he didn't I 'd start not collecting stones.

@Haikel,
I was once a very religious Christian. I have studied the Bible and the Torah and I have personally scientific errors in both (I don't know too much about the Quran but I am certain it is the same).

I am no longer religious. The scientific errors were a part of this decision.

@maxdancona,
When our mother converted to christianity from buddhism when we were kids, we were required to attend church. But, in my early teens, I saw the many contradictions in the bible about not killing and killing. It didn't make any sense to me. The world flood killed many innocent people including children.
Today, all my siblings are christians, and I'm an atheist.

We cannot compare our world with the world thousands of years ago.
When we say - the whole world - we really mean the whole world.
When the world was flooded a couple of thousands years ago it probably meant the world around the people telling about it. As far as they could see or as far as they could walk.
How often do we not excatterate when telling things. "I waited for ages for...."
no I did not - I waited 4 minutes and 3 seconds. But that does not make me telling it interesting...
