the weekend went away so quick.. it seems wrong, or it doesn't sound like a good phrase. in other words, what would you say? something that is more commonly used...

Because it is incorrect in formal standard English to use an adjective in place of an adverb, even though it is often found in casual speech. I doubt if the OP will know what you mean by "collo".
