The main thing that makes MA in Political Science a little different from MA in International Studies is that it covers broader topics such as development policy and philosophy of social sciences. But which of them has more impact in the job market and the academe?

@lightbulb123,
What is your BA in? What Country are you living in?

In the US today, I don't think that an MA in either of the two areas you mentioned is hot today. The best bet is an MBA or a JD if you're not well educated in the sciences.

Today, the tech world is hot. But for how long, who knows? Teaching, nursing, medicine and basic science ( chemistry, molecular biology..)
are the fields of both today and the future.

@lightbulb123,
Seems to me that you should be able to research those on your own.
