@edgarblythe,
I am guessing they do this with a boy scout pocket knife and nail polish.

@edgarblythe,
no, they do this with an scalpel and several surgical tools... there are different techniques from laser scarification to cold branding

My grandfather did it with a bullwhip.

It really doesn't bother me. Especially if it's being done in a clean environment, and care is taken that no infection developed.

@chai2,
i´ve been congratulated about my business by a health inspector who confessed we should all be more concerned about going to the dentist than going to a tattoo /piercing parlor..

I have no objection to most tattoos. I just can't see digging so deep for the illustration I have provided.

@edgarblythe,
what you meant by providing that illustration then?

@momoends,
Pretty much what he said above the picture in his original post.

He asked a question.

I don't care for tattos, or piercings, or other body modifications. All I said was it doesn't bother me if done in clean conditions.

My concern is the aftercare the person self administers to themselves.

Other than that, it's none of my business.

@chai2,
i answered appropriately then... and yes, the aftercare measures are as important for the result as the procedure itself
