Watch CNN's Brianna Keilar Explain To A Trump Advisor That Speaking To White Voters Is Not Black Outreach
http://cloudfront.mediamatters.org/static/uploader/image/2016/08/19/trumpdiamondalekeilar.png
Jack Kingston: "Maybe It Would Have Been Nice If He Went And Had A Backdrop With A Burning Car"

They aren't even trying.

BRIANNA KEILAR (HOST): Joining us we have Trump’s senior advisor Jack Kingston. He’s a former U.S. Congressman from Georgia. Thank you so much for being here with us, congressman. So, we heard a lot of new things in this address that Donald Trump gave on teleprompter tonight in Diamondale, Michigan, and one of the main parts of his speech was an appeal to black voters. I want you to listen to really the crux of what he said there.

(…)

KEILAR: He’s polling right now at 2 percent with African-American voters. Is that the right way to attract a voting block that obviously favors Hillary Clinton much more than him?

JACK KINGSTON: Well first of all, our internal poll show us doing better than 2 percent, but the reality is he’s going there and he’s taking it to them. He’s giving them a proposal. He’s saying, “You know what? I’m interested, I went to Milwaukee, I’m here tonight, I want to talk to you.” And one of the things he actually said last night in North Carolina that kind of went uncovered, but he says “I don’t want to preside over another generation of children who are left out of the American dream.”

KEILAR: I have to stop you because you said he’s going there. He’s not, he’s in Diamondale, which is 93 percent white. When he was in Milwaukee the other day, it was part of Milwaukee that wasn’t dealing – I mean he, it’s –

KINGSTON: Well yeah, but Brianna he went –

KEILAR: It’s almost completely white.

KINGSTON: I mean, maybe it would have been nice if he went and had a backdrop with a burning car, but the reality is –

KEILAR: No no no no no, I’m not talking about a burning car. I’m talking about meeting with black voters.

KINGSTON: Well, he met with David Clarke, who as you know is the African-American Sheriff of Milwaukee, and he’s engaged with him. And his rallies are open to the public. Last night in North Carolina, we saw a lot of African-Americans. I wasn’t sure about the crowd content tonight, but the reality is –

KEILAR: It’s white. We checked.

It's madness that such a high percentage of minorities still believe that the Democrat party has their best interest at heart when even a brother won't help them. Life has not gotten better for blacks under Obama, it's weird that they'd expect Hillary to actually do any better.

But, the public is fickle and they want what they want whether it's good for them or not. The Dem's have done an awesome job brainwashing the Minorities in America. If they only realized that it's the same rich white people in both parties...

@McGentrix,
That's not even true at all. Black people were hit harder than white people during the recession, yet in the last 3 years black people, with only 13% of the population, have gotten 20% of the new Full Time jobs. Inflation-adjusted median weekly wage for black people has gone up since Obama took office, and the crime rate and murder rate has gone down. The percentage of blacks with a high school degree is higher than it's ever been, and the percentage with a four year college degree is the highest it's ever been. Under Bush, the number of African-Americans with a Full Time job shrunk 2%, while under Obama the number has gone UP 16%.

Republicans keep trying to push the fable that blacks have not benefitted from the Obama Presidency, and all the numbers show the opposite. But that won't change the Republicans-they'll say it anyway.

The view from outside America is completely different. We've not been "brainwashed" by the Democrats and it's obvious that Trump is not remotely qualified to be the leader of the free world, he's a dangerous incompetent narcissist with a thin skin and absolutely no knowledge of History or Geography.

Yet this idiot is now the Republican nominee. Are Republican Americans really that stupid or have they been brainwashed by partisan news broadcasters illegal in most of the free world?

It's very disturbing to watch, looking glass politics where up is down, black is white, and pig ignorance is a vital attribute when looking for a new leader.

Perhaps you'd like to share with us an example of the Democratic Party not helping minorities?

Maybe you'd like to share one of tRumps specific plans to help minorities - other than throwing them out of his events? Maybe he was trying to protect them from the racist antics of his supporters?

What does that mean? A backdrop of a burning car in connection to appealing to black voters?

Do people like McGentrix realize just how condescending and insulting it is to black voters to suggest they can't think on their own and most of them are brainwashed?

Me I don't think fox viewers are brainwashed, I think Fox news knows it audience and broadcast accordingly.

I think it's quite clear, a lazy assumption that all black people are either criminals, or in fear of those who are. A burning car symbolises that and basically says that black people turn neighbourhoods into criminal ghettoes.

I don't see how making such claims can be seen as reaching out to black voters, but I'm an ocean away.

No one except young white males - one of the two or three worst educated groups in America - "gets" tRump. Fortunately, they vote less than any other group does, too. You got a better grip on it than you think, Izzy.

BTW - how's the Kid doing??

Michele Bachmann: I'm advising Trump on foreign policy
Source: The Hill

Tea Party firebrand Michele Bachmann says she is advising Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump on foreign policy.

The former Minnesota congresswoman attended a fundraiser in the state for Trump on Saturday, where she revealed to the press that she has his ear on foreign policy.

“He also recognizes there is a threat around the world, not just here in Minnesota, of radical Islam,” she said, according to MPR News. “I wish our President Obama also understood the threat of radical Islam and took it seriously.”

Really? I never realised jihadism was so prevalent in Minnesota. They should do something about it instead of exporting it around the World.

@izzythepush,
He's hoping to win with a "Minnesota Strategy"? Trump doesn't even know what he means.
