How Can The Bible Prove To Be A Source Of Comfort?

The trauma of loosing a job, the death of a loved one, dealing with crippling sickness. It is during times such as these that a person needs to be comforted and encouraged. The Bible has time an again proven itself to be a real source of comfort to those who seriously consider what it teaches regarding the end of all things that cause suffering and pain.

One such promise is found at Revelation 21:3, 4 where it states:

Revelation 21:3 "With that I heard a loud voice from the throne say: “Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his people. And God himself will be with them. 4 And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.”

What a wonderful time that will be. I'd like to ask some of you, how have you found the Bible to be a source of comfort?
