I'm impecunious these days, but I'm saving up for a used iphone or ipad or pod. Probably won't be in time for football season, but I'm still following the sports pages.

If enough people were interested, we could start up a Yahoo! league again.

But it doesn't sound like there's any buzz.

Hate to see the league die out. Anyone have any way of contacting Rhys et others, to see if we can fill it via repeats?

My email will bounce, alas. I need to gird my loins (whatever, lovely elder legs) to gather my wits re what to do, a complicated matter to even explain.

I will. It all starts with an antique iMac, but reverberates with Safari killing off support around 2011, and Yahoo (dumping me to basic, and now less than basic) and suddenly gmail, my backup, not supporting me. The remedy is a probably a new machina, but I need to make some calls.

I've been pretty good at living through all this, but the scenario is clear. I'm researching used iMacs, saving. I did used to deal with PCs, but that was about a dozen years ago, I'm dumber now, plus I can't pay for the antivirus stuff and like macs anyway.

I'll post though if I come up with a question.

imacs are 2-3 times the price of a pc laptop.

If all you do is mostly just surf the internet and do stuff online with no gaming or anything, this is an ok deal. It's not the best but I bet it would be a big improvement over what you are using.
