Immigration and Trade With Poor Countries

I believe Sanders wants a secure border with Mexico (i.e., prevent illegal immigrants from entering the U.S.) and wants to block trade with poor countries that have lower wage levels than that prevailing in the U.S.

Hasn't illegal immigration from Mexico reduced world income inequality?

Hasn't U.S. importation of goods from third-world countries raised possibly billions of people out of extreme poverty?

@gollum,
And it has secured third-world nations into an abominable existence, also.

@mark noble,
mark noble-

Thank you.

I thought many (i.e., millions or hundreds of millions) people in China have been lifted from extreme poverty into a better condition though it may in many cases still be poor by our standards.
